Erik Westlund

Erik Westlund is an artist and animator who concentrates on representing patterns found through the direct study of life, the human form and human behavior. Originally born and raised in the area surrounding Washington DC, he received his BFA in General Fine Art from Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore, MD and his MFA in Computer Art from Savannah College of Art and Design in Savannah, GA. His public work is quite varied including studio art exhibited in Washington DC and Baltimore, commercial graphic design and illustration work, audio production work for radio, television and cinema and has screened his independent animated short films in film festivals across the country. Erik has taught successful animators, 3D modelers and technical artists since 2005 and joined SUVA in 2007.
