Tuition & Fees Tucson Campus

Southwest University of Visual Arts provides students the opportunity to maximize the number of credits they take each term for one full time tuition price. This enables students to graduate in the shortest time possible and receive the best tuition cost per credit hour.

 

Total program tuition is determined by the number of credits attempted each term. Tuition is charged at $9,180 per term for
12-20 credits (full time). If taking over 20 credits, an additional $765 per credit hour will be assessed.

 

Part time tuition is charged at $765 per credit.

 

Each year Southwest University of Visual Arts Board of Trustees reviews tuition costs and the Board reserves the right to increase tuition as deemed appropriate. For more information, please contact a Program Representative in the Admissions office.

 

 

PAYMENT OF TUITION

1. Tuition payments are due at the beginning of each semester or in accordance with tuition payment method agreement.


2. School will assist student as requested to obtain financial aid, but school makes no representations, promises or guarantees regarding student’s ability to obtain financial aid. The student remains liable for tuition and non-tuition charges whether or not the student obtains financial aid.


3. If any payment is not received on or before the due date, it will affect the student's eligibility to attend classes.


4. If payment is not received within ten (10) days of the date of written notice to the student of default, the student shall be in breach of the tuition payment method agreement.


5. Payment for tuition and supplies is due in full prior to student’s completion of course work. If payment in full is not received, the student will not receive his/her final transcripts or degree certification.


6. If payment of all tuition is not received as per the terms of the tuition payment method agreement, the balance due will accrue interest at the rate of up to fifteen percent (15%) per annum until paid in full.

 

 

BOOKS AND SUPPLIES

Students are required to furnish his/her own books and supplies for completion of each course. Southwest University of Visual Arts provides an on-campus book and supply store. Students are not required to purchase books and supplies at this store, however, all supplies utilized by students must meet Southwest University of Visual Arts’ professional standards. The following are estimated costs for books and supplies for each program. They are based on an average of what students will need to complete their program. Books and supply costs may vary depending on individual student need. Contact the bookstore directly for approved methods of payment.

Graphic Design: $4,150

Illustration: $4,150

Animation: $4,275

Interior Design: $4,400

Landscape Architecture: $$4,500

Advertising & Marketing: $3,900

Studio Art: $4,750

Photography: $4,750

 

 

APPLICATION / REGISTRATION

Fees Applicants must submit a completed Application for Admission and a $25.00 application fee. International applicants must submit a $50.00 application fee. The application fee is refundable if the applicant is denied admission.

Once all prerequisites have been met and the application has been accepted, the enrollee will place a non-refundable $100 Registration Fee with Southwest University of Visual Arts.

 

 

ACT TEST FEE
Applicants who elect to take the ACT Residual Test offered at Southwest University of Visual Arts will be required to submit a $32.00 test fee on or before the date of the exam.

 

 

DEGREE COMPLETION:
Actual completion dates are determined by the number of credits successfully completed each semester. BACHELOR DEGREE PROGRAMS Students enrolled in a minimum of 12 credits per semester can complete degree in ten to twelve semesters.

 

 

STUDENT / TEACHER RATIO:
Studio Class 15-25/1
Academic Class 30/1

 

All courses are taught on an "in-class" basis.

In New Mexico Sales tax will be payable as required by the New Mexico Department of Taxation Revenue. Current sales tax
is at 7%
