Studio Arts - BFA

In the Bachelor of Fine Arts in Studio Art program at SUVA, students gain the knowledge and experience necessary to cultivate and expand their creative self expression. Training focuses on grounding talent in the basics while expanding critical thinking and technical skills. The exploration of new media and techniques provide the foundation to specialize in one of three disciplines: Painting and Drawing, Printmaking or Sculpture. Advanced studio electives customize students’ creative experiences and assist in portfolio development. Graduates are prepared to pursue a variety of paths in the arts including gallery exhibition, private commissions, artists’ residencies, grants and fellowships, and further studies at the graduate level.
