Landscape Architecture Program
Landscape Architecture is a profession that combines a passion for the environment with art and blends science with creativity. Landscape Architects are responsible for the planning and creation of community parks, residential developments, commercial centers, gardens, transportation facilities and resorts.
Landscape design and construction, site design and urban and regional planning are among the subjects you study at Southwest University of Visual Arts. The combination of a structured curriculum and hands-on projects ensure that you are prepared to advance in your field. General education courses provide you the opportunity to enhance skills and knowledge for a well-rounded education.
Graduates are qualified to enter the industry as paid apprentices or intern landscape architects in preparation for the Landscape Architect Registration Examination. Once graduates receive this certification, they are qualified to work on projects such as the development and preservation of open spaces, recreation areas, wildlife refuges, zoos, parks, golf courses and more.
